Why businesses choose EHP for commercial solar

  • Site assessment first

We assess your roof, your usage profile and your site before proposing anything, so the system fits how your business actually runs.

  • Designed around your usage

Sized to your daytime demand, not just your roof space, so more of what you generate gets used on site.

  • Track record since 2009

Installing solar across Ireland since 2009, including commercial sites like Daly's Circle K in Lifford.

How commercial solar pays for itself

The order matters, and we design every commercial system around it.

  • Self-consumption first

Solar generates most during the day, when most businesses are drawing the most power. Using what you generate on site is where the real saving sits.

  • Export second

Whatever your business doesn't use can be exported to the grid. We size the system so self-consumption comes first and export is the surplus, not the plan.

How a commercial install works

The same clear path for every site, from first visit to switch-on.

  1. Step 01

    Site assessment

We review your roof or land, your usage profile and your electrical setup on site.

  2. Step 02

    Design and proposal

You get a system sized to your actual usage, with a clear proposal and cost. We advise on which grants and supports you qualify for, and handle the paperwork.

  3. Step 03

    Installation around your operations

We plan the work around your trading hours or operating schedule wherever we can.

  4. Step 04

    Handover and monitoring

You're shown how the system runs, with monitoring in place so you can see what it's generating.

All FAQs

Yes. Commercial solar attracts an SEAI Non-Domestic grant of up to €162,600, paid as a set amount for each kilowatt-peak you install, so a larger system earns a larger grant. Businesses can also write off the full cost of qualifying equipment against tax in year one under the Accelerated Capital Allowance. We confirm exactly what your business qualifies for at the free energy audit and handle the paperwork.

It depends on your usage and the system size that makes sense for your business. We work this out during the site assessment rather than guessing from roof area alone.
