SEAI grants
Eligibility depends on the measure and your home. Solar PV and heat pump grants generally require a home built and occupied before 2021 and an MPRN. Ventilation funding is available only through the One Stop Shop route. We confirm the available route at your free home assessment and handle the application paperwork for eligible works.
Once you decide to go ahead, we register the works with SEAI and submit the paperwork before installation starts. You do not need to deal with the forms yourself.
The grant is paid directly to you by SEAI once the job is signed off, not deducted by us upfront. Your quote shows the cost before and after the grant so you know exactly what you are paying.
It depends on the grant and on SEAI processing times, but registering the works and submitting paperwork does not hold up your install. We keep you updated at each stage.
Yes. The SEAI grant is applied first to reduce the overall cost, and finance through our lending partner covers the balance if you would rather spread the payments.
Solar, heat pumps and batteries
It depends on your roof size, orientation, shading and how much electricity you use. Our free home assessment considers all of this and gives you a system sized to your actual usage and roof space.
Older homes can need extra insulation or bigger radiators to get the best from a heat pump. We check your home's heat loss during the free home assessment and tell you straight if any work is needed first.
Not always. A battery stores surplus solar power for use in the evening rather than exporting it, which suits some usage patterns more than others. Battery storage qualifies for 0% VAT but has no separate SEAI grant, and we talk through whether it makes sense for your home during the home assessment.
Solar panels have a lifespan of 25+ years, with a typical payback period of 6-10 years once the SEAI grant is applied.
Solar panels have no moving parts and need very little upkeep beyond an occasional visual check. Heat pumps and batteries benefit from a service now and again, which our own engineers can carry out.
Finance and payment
Yes. Finance through Finance Ireland lets you spread the cost of your install over a term rather than paying it all upfront.
Finance Ireland is our lending partner for solar and heat pump finance. We arrange the application, but the loan agreement is between you and them.
It is a personal loan through Finance Ireland. You own the system outright from day one.
Finance Ireland currently offers a 6.7% variable interest rate, with a representative APR of 7.57% including the completion fee, and flexible terms up to 10 years. Repayments may change, and terms, rates and approval are subject to lending criteria.
No. You can clear the loan early at any time with no early repayment penalty.
The SEAI grant is applied first to reduce the price of the job, and finance only covers whatever balance is left over. Taking finance does not affect your grant.
Install, warranty and aftercare
It depends on the job. Solar and EV charger installs are usually a day or two, a heat pump is a few days, and geothermal or a ventilation retrofit takes longer because of the ground works or ductwork involved. We give you a realistic timeline at the quote stage.
No. The engineers who design your system are the same team who install it and come back to service it. We do not hand the job to subcontractors halfway through.
We work from our base in Newtowncunningham, Co Donegal, with around 50 engineers and installers covering homes and businesses across Donegal and the wider North West.
Every product we install carries a manufacturer warranty, and the exact length depends on what you have fitted. We confirm the warranty terms for your system as part of your quote.
Yes. Once your system is switched on, the same local team that installed it is who you call for servicing, warranty work and questions.
